Conor qualified in Manchester in 2003 when he was 23 years old.
He joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2006 and a little while later became a partner alongside John Hewitt and David Moss.
In April 2018 they sold the practice to Portman Dental Care and became City Centre Dental & Implant Clinic.
He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but especially cosmetic smile makeovers giving my patients a great confidence in their smile.
He is married with two children and when not working enjoys keeping fit, general sports, playing guitar and spending quality time with his family.

David qualified at Manchester in 1979 at the age of 22. He joined City Centre Dental Practice in 1980, becoming a partner in 1986. He has many longstanding general patients who have been coming to see David for many years. His interests are general and cosmetic dentistry.
Dave is married with three children and grandchildren. When David isn’t at work he loves to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also has a keen interest in wildlife photography and hillwalking.

John has been here at City Centre Dental Practice since 1988 after qualifying at Sheffield University at the age of 23. He later became a partner in the company and was instrumental in introducing Portman to us.
He has a special interest in restorative dentistry and also facial aesthetics. He treats many nervous patients, often with intra venous sedation.
From February 2019 he is also a clinical lead for Portman Healthcare which takes him to other practices in the North West to help solve issues they may have.
John is a keen motorcyclist, enjoys spending time with his three children, travelling, open water swimming, hill walking and Jujitsu.

Daniel qualified in Manchester in 2004 at the age of 26. He joined City Centre Dental as an associate in 2007 and became a partner in 2010.
He has a special interest in Amalgam removal and cosmetic dentistry.
He is married with an adorable daughter and enjoys family time, travel, football and is a Formula 1 fanatic.

Dr Murray-Curtis leads our dental implant provision and has many years experience placing and restoring. Having obtained his dental degree with Hons and Distinction in Restorative Dentistry form the University of Malta in 2001, Lawrence went on to complete his Masters in Implant Dentistry with Distinction at the University of Manchester in 2008.
Lawrence is tireless in updating his expertise. This ranges from national and international courses to take full advantage of global cutting edge research and contemporary knowledge and skills in the field of implantology.
The overriding factor is ultimately to benefit his patients. Open, clear and courteous communication are at the heart of everything he does which pays dividends, with outstanding results and cosmetic improvements. Lawrence's aim is to provide you with the very best results and world class dental care.
Lawrence has a family and spends his spare time out with his dogs in the countryside.

Stephen qualified as a dentist from Manchester University in 1973 and gained an MSc in Endodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute and London University in 1996. He has worked in private practice limited to endodontics since 1996 and was accredited by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Endodontics in 2000.
As well as lecturing extensively at home and abroad, he has held teaching posts at Birmingham University and the London Hospital Medical College. Stephen is currently a part-time teacher in Endodontology at Manchester University.
Stephen joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2010 and has been our Specialist Endodontist since then.
Outside work he is a keen cook and loves showing his Scottie dog, Fig at dog shows around the country (look out for them at Crufts!).

Ahmed is our Consultant Orthodontist, he joined us at City Centre Dental & Implant Clinic in 2018. He qualified as an orthodontist after extensive training at the University of Glasgow where he worked as a clinical lecturer. In 2013, he was awarded PhD based on a clinical trial in assessing the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment. He then moved to London where he spent 3 years treating and manging complex orthodontic cases at the Royal London Hospital to qualify as a consultant orthodontist.
He is currently working as senior lecturer and consultant at the University of Manchester treating complex cases and training postgraduate students. He also has extensive interest in research related to effective and accelerated orthodontic treatment. He published several high impact scientific articles and presented his work in international scientific meetings and conferences.
He has special interests in applying evidence based orthodontic treatment to both adults and children using fixed (metal and ceramic) braces and Invisalign. He has excellent clinical skills and extensive experience in treatment planning with patient-centred approach aiming for patient satisfaction as an ultimate goal.
Ahmed is married with two children and enjoys spending time

Nigel qualified as a BDS at Manchester University in December 1984 at the age of 22.
He has owned/worked at several dental practices in Manchester, Birmingham and London and joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2015.
He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and treat a lot of lovely patients.
Nigel is an avid Manchester United Supporter and enjoys walking with his two dogs.

Zara qualified in London in 2013 at Kings College London. She joined City Centre Dental Practice in September 2018. Zara has a special interest in facial aesthetics and rejuvenaton.
Outside of work Zara loves going to the theatre, attending dance classes, travelling and beauty pageants.
BDS (Sheffield) 2012

Claire qualified at Sheffield in 2012 at the age of 23 with BDS Honours. She also went onto comlete a postgraduate qualification in restorative Dentistry, Restorative Theory and Phantom Head Practical Courses. Claire is constantly looking to further her skillset by attending courses on providing Cfast cosmetic tooth alignment systems and more recently an improved knowledge of cosmetic dentistry.
She joined City Centre Dental Surgery in August 2018 and has a keen interest in restorative and minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and managing nervous patients which she finds very rewarding.
Outside work Claire enjoys going to live music gigs, loves to travel and is a keen skier.

Fatimah qualified at Leeds Dental Institute in 2000 in Dip. Dental Hyg., Biotechnology 1994 when she was 29.
She joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2008 and has a large regular patient base although Fatimah enjoys seeing new patients and teaching them how to manage their oral hygiene.
She has two children and enjoys cooking, reading and taking long country walks.

Debbie qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at The London hospital, Whitechapel, London in 1993. Currently working at City Centre Dental & Implant Clinic as a Hygienist, she has previously worked in all aspects of dentistry including research.

Fran qualified at Manchester University in June 2003 a BSc Oral Health Science when she was 22.
She joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2007 and has a special interest in Periodontal Disease.
Fran is married with a young family and enjoys skiing, keeping fit and spending quality time with her family.

Jackie qualified in Dental Hygiene in 1985 at Guy’s Hospital London at the age of 24. She joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2006. Jackie has a special interest in perio but also is a great communicator, putting patients at ease and teaching techniques of oral hygiene. Jackie has a wide patient base who come in to see her regularly and she enjoys keeping up with what they have done since their last visit.
Outside work Jackie has three grown up children and an
adorable rescue dog. She enjoys yoga and tennis.

Lynda qualified with a CEB Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1995 in Leeds. She joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2003. Lynda has a special interest in teaching oral hygiene techniques and ensuring that the best products are suited to her patients.
She is married with two children who take up most of her spare time but she enjoys the outdoors and touring the UK in her caravan.

I have worked in Dentistry for 29 years. My back ground is Dental Nursing , Receptionist, Team leader and Practice Management.
I also have a keen interest in Human resources and Internal Auditing.
I acquired level 3 in 1st Line Management in 2009
I joined Portman Dental in January 2019 after working 19
years across Greater Manchester in several sites.
I am married with 2 children; both my children play in Rock Bands so I do like to follow them around and show my support much to their embarrassment. My hobbies are travelling, music and vintage/antique jewellery and upcycling of second hand furniture.

Jo started her dental career in 1983 working at a practice in Bolton for many years qualifying in 1995. She joined City Centre Dental Practice in 2011 as a Dental Nurse moving up to DPM in 2018. Jo still works in surgery when needed and on a regular basis with the Orthodontist.
Outside work Jo is a keen photographer and is president of her local photography club.
